For how long have you sat in that same spot brooding over how things could have been better if only it happened in another way? You think you could have gotten the job if only you knew the Director, life would have been easier if you had enough money (it’s hard to figure out what we mean by enough nowadays anyway), maybe if you had attended a private university you would have gotten a job; if only you had stayed glued to Bade, you would have been married…. It goes on and on and on. We are always quick to apportion our failure to something we have no control over. There should always be someone or something to blame.
Has it ever occurred to you that you’ve spent so much time looking for who or what to blame instead of tackling your own problems/failures. How come you are so perfect in your own eyes that it just has to be someone’s fault things are not falling in place.
Don’t waste time starting a pity party, look at the things that are going wrong in your life. Check carefully to see if there is something you are not doing right. It is not a crime to be poor; it only becomes a crime if you decide to remain poor. You can’t be sleeping and waking up with no source of income and expect to become richer than your neighbor who drives the latest car in town.
Stop waiting for the big break; create one out of the little break.
You can decide to rise above that level or stay in your self-pity state of mind.
Choose Wisely.
