No to Diversity.

You think splitting up will do us any good
you think politicizing religion will help u achieve your political dreams
you think inciting the people to violence will make them cower
you think you can control it all when it begins
Here’s how it will turn out
millions of children
thousands of adult
male and female, northerners and westerners
easterners and southerners
many will die
all will be lost
there will be no peace keeping corps
there will be no international aid for the refugees
No drugs for the sick
No medical help for the wounded
our cash will fail us
we will be left to our folly
the world will watch while we die.

Youths With a Difference

At this time when the political situation in our country seems to be heading towards the rocks and our sixteen years of democracy is been threatened by the selfish desires of our politicians, it becomes a matter of urgent necessity to remind the youths what their responsibilities are seeing that most of them have either forgotten who they are or who they are supposed to be.
The political tension of this great nation Nigeria is building up and the youths are caught in the crossfire. Our politicians have forgotten what the exact definition of democracy is; they are striving to attain power at all cost forgetting that the will of the people should prevail.Β  It is disheartening when you see Nigerian youths who are supposed to be smart enough to stand up and fight injustice in the society sucking up to these corrupt politicians, licking their feet and submitting themselves to be used as instruments of violence.
The smart and intelligent ones are being used to perfect lies and create stories in different versions for the populace, blogs, facebook, twitter, newspapers are our tools. We help the adults spread their lies, conspiracies and deceit, all for what? Money, yes, they give us bits of our inheritance and we are theirs to use. Political activists, public commentators, bloggers, writers have become advocates of the same government they openly spoke ill of for not keeping up to their end of the promise for the citizens.
We seem to be forgetting that this is our chance to take charge of our future, the future we have anticipated since we were kids. The choice lies in our hands, we can all decide to postpone the future or grab hold of it now and be the change we want to see. Be aware that the decisions you make now affects us all and generations coming behind us.
If it feels good giving up your right as an instrument of change in your society or giving up a country where the younger generations will not be ashamed of who they are for a huge sum of money that will end up not being enough to carry you through life, keep it up. Just remember that as long as you dine with the devil, the situation will never change and you have no moral justification to complain about unemployment, poor educational system, insecurities etc. because you helped make it happen.
